The first time the offense for the Ravenwood High School football team took the field Friday night in the Class 6A second round against region rival Franklin, the Raptors marched 97 yards to score the opening touchdown.
Ravenwood only continued to roll, clicking on both sides of the ball, as the night went on. The Raptors cruised past the Admirals 45-13 and into next week's state quarterfinals where they will host Stewarts Creek and look to continue an unbeaten season after moving to 12-0 overall.
"That's pretty amazing to start the game with a 97-yard drive for a TD," Ravenwood coach Will Hester said. "The ability to run the football and stop the run was the difference in the game."
