The Ravenwood High School golf teams both collected team titles at the District 11 Large Class Golf Tournament Monday at Franklin Bridge Golf Club.

Shelly Jang, who placed third at last year's state golf championships, clinched the individual title with a 1-under 71 Monday and teamed up with Hannah Walton (4-over 78) to card a 149 to finish ahead of Franklin (163) and Summit (179).

Sophia Dipaolo, the defending region champion, of Franklin shot a 76 and finished tied with Summit's Claudette Runk for second behind Jang. Independence's Isabella McCutcheon was fourth overall to lead the Lady Eagles with a 77.

The boys team title also went to Ravenwood, led by Conor Caparos and Michael Hake. The Raptor pair finished with identical 1-under 71s to tie for second behind Brentwood's Troup Wallace, who fired a 3-under 69 to take the individual title.

Page's Grant Clark and Cameron Tankersley of Dickson County both carded a 72 to tie for fourth.

Ravenwood edged Brentwood for the team title by one stroke, while Dickson County earned the third place at next week's regional by winning a playoff against defending Large Class boys champion Franklin after both finishing with a 308.

The region championships will be played next week at GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson County. The region team champion and top three individual finishers will advance to the state tournament in Manchester on Oct. 6-7 at WillowBrook Golf Course.
