Anchored by a group of standout sophomores, the Brentwood High School volleyball team has been carving out a new identity this season. Under new leadership in coach Sarah Rucker and dotted with those young faces, the storied Bruins program took a giant step in finding themselves Wednesday. 

Brentwood maintained the energy all match and knocked off league-leading Ravenwood in straight sets – 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 – in a District 10-AAA battle on the volleyball court.
