When you graduate three school record holders in one year, it's reasonable to expect a dip in performance the next season, but the Lady Raptors kept right on rolling as their 2023 season got underway over the weekend. Senior Alyssa Arkava won the long jump by nearly one foot, and junior Grace Potter finished runner up in the triple jump and 6th in the high jump. A trio of vaulters scored as Hannah Laughlin and Ava Newman tied for 3rd and Grace Kelley tied for 6th. Sydney Love also scored in the shot put, giving Ravenwood a slim 1 point lead after Friday's field events.

Saturday's scorers included Elizabeth Flynn, Hadar Biger, Lizzie Goslak, and Ashlyn Twyman in the 4x800m, Alyssa Arkava in the 100m and 200m, Jordan Rayl in the 1600m and 800m, Sydney Love, Hannah Laughlin, Kennedi Quarles, and Alyssa Arkava in the 4x100m relay, Paige Gatlin in the 3200m, and Anna Palmeri, Grace Potter, Abby McMullen, and Jordan Rayl in the 4x400m, as Ravenwood beat Page by 7.5 points.

The Lady Raptors return to action Thursday and Friday at Brentwood's Scott Hartman Relays.
