On Saturday, May 11th, Ravenwood won the first girls lacrosse state championship in school history by beating rival Brentwood 17-8. The Lady Raptors finished a historic season 16-1 overall with the lone loss coming to Ensworth, winners of the private school division state championship.

The Lady Raptors began the playoff run dispatching of Farragut 20-3. An all-Williamson County semi-finals followed, featuring the Lady Raptors versus the Lady Rebels of Franklin High, while Brentwood matched up with Page on the other side. In perhaps the most exciting game of the playoffs, the Lady Raptors needed extra time to edge Franklin 13-12. The Lady Rebels made a furious comeback in the 2nd half, but a Margaret Gleason goal in overtime pushed the Lady Raptors into the championship game.

The championship was a "Battle of the Woods" rematch. In the first matchup, the Lady Raptors racked up 20 goals on the Lady Bruins, and the 2nd game saw more of the same offensive firepower. Ravenwood put the finishing touches on their historical season by dominating Brentwood in the championship game.

At the conclusion of the state championships, five Ravenwood players were named to the All-State team, including Lillye Perez, Margaret Gleason, Julianna Lovine, Andie McConnell, and Hannah Lee Keller. The icing on the cake for the Lady Raptors came days later as MaxPreps released the final state rankings- listing Ravenwood as number one, just ahead of Ensworth. The Lady Raptors will look to defend the state title next year, with a strong core of young players returning.
