Softball Begins Season With a Young Team Eager To Compete

The Lady Raptors host Wilson Central today at 4:30 PM to open up their season. Coach Allison Brown, recently back from maternity leave, had this to say about the team and her excitement for the beginning of the season:

"Opening day is always one of my favorite days of the year. It's finally time for all the off-season and pre-season work to pay off. Being able to go out and compete and see your team come together for a common goal is rewarding. With us being such a young team (only 4 seniors, 0 juniors), this season will be a year of a lot of learning.  We have a lot of young talent, so just getting them experience and learning to play at a higher level is something we are looking forward to. We have high expectations for this season and expect to learn a lot, but also are looking at our seniors as leaders and laying the foundation for this younger team."

Get out to the baseball/softball complex at RHS this afternoon to catch the Lady Raptors in action!
