The Ravenwood Raptor Boy's Tennis Team escaped Station Camp 4-1 yesterday at Memorial Courts in Hendersonville, TN.
Ethan Eisenhauer, Davis Eastham, and Tanner Wright at the Nos 3,4, & 5 singles were able to give the team a 3-0 advantage early.
On Court #1, Ravenwood's Patrick Delves played 3 Star recruit Carter Ramthun. Delves lost the first set 4-6 and was up 3-0 in the 2nd, when muscle cramps began to impact his play. Ramthun was able to defeat Delves 3-6 in the second set to tighten the team score to 3-1.
On Court #2, Jackson Stone played Station Camp's Lance Watson in an epic 2+ hour match. Stone struggled most of the day and lost the 1st set 4-6 but was able to persevere and win the 2nd set 6-3. In the third set, Stone was able to win in a set tie break 7-6 to give the Raptors the 4-1 win.
Ravenwood will play Central Magnet on Tuesday May 25th in the State Semi-Finals in Murfreesboro. Ravenwood played Central Magnet earlier in the year and was able to secure a victory but the Team expects a tough match.
