Seniors Evan Gainer and Rocco Lamuno provided clutch plays late Wednesday and the Ravenwood High School boys' basketball team escaped in another epic chapter of the Battle of the Woods against rival Brentwood with a nail-biting 35-33 victory. 

With 27 seconds remaining in the game, Gainer hit one of two free throws to gain a 34-32 edge. Lamuno, fresh off an emphatic dunk, sealed the win for Ravenwood with another free throw as the Raptors hung on. 

In the earlier game, the Brentwood girls also bounced back from a setback against league-leading Page behind a fast start where they doubled-up Ravenwood 20-10 on the way to a 58-43 victory.
