Rayl Leads Ravenwood Again

Jordan Rayl racing at the Hermitage

Jordan Rayl continued her ascent up Ravenwood's all time top seven list Saturday, running a blistering 18:24 to become the second fastest cross country runner in school history. Her fourth place finish matched the team finish, a terrific showing considering they were missing four runners. Freshmen Ashlyn Twyman and Lizzie Goslak also medaled for the Lady Raptors, with Paige Gatlin and Emma Prudoff also scoring.

The JV girls had the highest team finish on the day as they were runners up. Youth won the day as five of the top seven were underclassmen. Carol Milne, Madeline VlachMae Sheehan, and Margaret Anne Hannon finished in the top ten, with Brianne Burgess, Ivy McKibben and Charlotte Specht rounding out the top seven.

"Obviously we wish everyone could have raced today as that would have given us a more accurate barometer of where we stand relative to Independence and Nolensville, but the girls that were here took advantage of the opportunity to race, and they raced well. I'm really proud of the girls and look forward to seeing us at full strength," commented Coach Mueller.

Hopefully he won't have to wait too long as the teams are scheduled to race this weekend at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville.
