John Hardaway
John Hardaway
Title: Coach Emeritus

Although Coach Hardaway passed away in the fall of 2019, he will always be in the hearts of those who knew him. For almost 20 years John was a part of the Ravenwood Track & Field scene. Over the years he helped numerous student-athletes medal at state and continue their track & field careers at the college level and was the anonymous donor who purchased Ravenwood's fully automatic timing system, the first of its kind in WCS.

John was a three sport letterman at Jeffersonville High School in Southern Indiana. He went on to play college football at the University of Evansville as a defensive back. John was employed by Brown-Forman Corp., one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies in the world. In his position John was responsible for sales and marketing activities, including alliances with strategic partners. Flagship brands included Jack Daniel’s, Old Forester and Woodford Reserve.

John was also Chairman Emeritus of the Board for Songs for Sound, a Nashville-based non-profit dedicated to enriching lives through hearing loss detection and treatment. Recently, John attended the Veterans Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C during which the Songs for Sound Foundation was recognized by The American Legion for outstanding service to “hearing challenged” veterans around the country. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
