Hoops Roundup: Brentwood sweeps Nolensville; Ravenwood splits with Beech; Franklin, Fairview boys cruise

The Brentwood High School girls basketball team used a second-quarter run to gain some separation and cruise past Nolensville Friday on the road.

After leading 19-15 after the first quarter, the Lady Bruins used a 14-6 run to gain a double-figure lead that only grew.

Ella Ryan scored 22 points with five 3-pointers and Sydney Ryan added 20 points with three more from long range. Kaitlyn Lorenzi tacked on 11 points for Brentwood.

 

Leilani Washington tallied 11 points, five rebounds and four assists to lead Nolensville. Sarah Brewer chipped in eight points.

 

Brentwood boys 58, Nolensville 41 

Jake Brock paced a balanced Brentwood attack with 14 points and the Bruins rolled to a road win at Nolensville. 

Daniel Cochran added 13 points in the win and Nick Deanna added nine.

Franklin boys 75, Warren County 46

Noah Magee fired in six 3-pointers – all in the first half – as the Admirals doubled-up Warren County early to cruise to victory Friday.

Magee closed with 18 points and Hudson Taylor added 11. Franklin knocked down 12 triples in the win.

Beech boys 72, Ravenwood 54

The unbeaten Buccaneers continued their winning ways with a non-conference win at Ravenwood Friday to move to 9-0.

Matt Williams led the Raptors with 12 points, Evan Gainer added 11 and DJ Starr had 10. Additional stats were unavailable.

 

 

Ravenwood girls 57, Beech 48

Reghan Grimes scored 22 points and the Lady Raptors picked up a big non-conference win at home Friday.

Cat Garay added 10 points, Natalie Prestegaard had eight and Elizabeth Flynn dominated the glass.

Franklin Road Academy boys 91, Battle Ground Academy 83

Sean Williams poured in 40 points, but the Wildcats fell short of FRA Friday.

Christian Brown added 17 points for BGA, while Cole Matthews had nine.

Fairview boys 51, Hickman County 23

Kennedy Pendergrass collected 14 points, four rebounds and three assists and the Yellow Jackets earned a win Friday.

Carter Durham added nine points and Mays McCoy hit for eight in the win.

Pope Prep girls 42, Centennial 28

The Lady Cougars fell in an early hole and never recovered in a non-conference matchup with Pope Prep.

Tyra Petway managed eight points and nine rebounds to lead Centennial.

Grace Christian Academy girls 54, University School of Nashville 32

Natalie Kaye scored 16 points and the GCA girls improved to a 3-1 in league play with a win Friday against visiting USN.

Seven other Lady Lions scored at least five points in the win.
