The Summit and Ravenwood High School softball teams were among the winners on the opening day of the Brentwood Invitational Softball Tournament on Friday at Crockett Park.
Ravenwood won their opener by run-ruling Grace Christian Academy 12-4 in three innings.
The Raptors earned a big confidence boost by scooting past GCA in their tournament opener.
"I think it is a great confidence boost that we needed," Ravenwood junior Cameron Taylor said. "We all have been working really hard."
"Our starters did a great job, but our subs also came in and contributed in the team win," Raptors coach Allison Brown added. "It is a big win for us because it is the first game of the tournament and that gives us some momentum and confidence going forward.'
