Raptor Softball Drops Game To Franklin After Late Score

The Lady Raptors stayed in it until the end, but Franklin pulled away late in a 10-8 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at six with Franklin batting in the bottom of the fifth when Carli LaRocque doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Despite the loss, the Lady Raptors did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Franklin had eight hits on the way to victory. Franklin got on the board in the first inning when Sydney Harris doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Harris got the win for Franklin. She went seven innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits and striking out nine. Avery Wissmar took the loss for Ravenwood Raptors Varsity. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and ten runs while striking out eight. The Lady Raptors racked up eight hits. Sydney HughesCamilla Wilbanks, and Tess Henderson all managed multiple hits for the Lady Raptors. Henderson, Wilbanks, and Hughes all had two hits to lead the Lady Raptors. Hughes also led the team with two stolen bases, as they ran agressively on the base paths with six stolen bases total. Franklin collected eight hits on the day. LaRocque, Harris, and Ellie Anisi each had multiple hits for Franklin.
