The first installment of the Battle of the Woods was a split with the Ravenwood High School boys' basketball team holding onto a 50-48 victory against Brentwood, while the Bruin girls blasted the host Raptors 81-45 on Tuesday.
Rocco Lamuno scored 14 points to lead the Ravenwood boys, while Reese Hunsinger knocked down three 3-pointers in the second half to help spark a rally for the home team.
Brentwood had built a 26-21 lead by the break and held a slim edge entering the fourth before Ravenwood catapulted in front.
Daniel Cochran scored 13 of his game-high 18 points in the first half for the Bruins. Jacob Purifoy added eight points and Hudson McKnight produced a couple 3-pointers.
Ravenwood heads into a big District 12-4A matchup at home against Nolensville Friday.
