Nine points is all that separates Independence and Ravenwood in the last four meetings.
The Eagles, ranked No. 4 in Class 4A, survived another down-to-the-wire battle at Ravenwood High School Tuesday by rallying for a 45-44 District 12-4A victory.
The two teams met four times last season with Independence winning both regular season clashes and the Raptors taking the two postseason battles. Tuesday was the first meeting since last year's Region 6-4A championship – a 59-55 overtime victory for Ravenwood.
